Celebs On The Fresh Diet Meal Plan

Friday, November 4th, 2011 @ 9:00am

The Fresh Diet is America’s premier at-home meal delivery program and similar to Freshology, they have many celebrities on their plan.

More recently, Paula Abdul, Olivia Munn, Mel B., Shenae Grimes and more…have been getting Fresh Diet delivered to their door.

Currently, Jayde Nicole (former Playboy Playmate) and Maria Menounos are on, as well as others that don’t want to be named right now. ;)

Here is a recent tweet from each:

The Fresh Diet: Fresh, Gourmet, Delivered…what’s not to love?

by Beauty 411 on October 21, 2011

One of the services that I learned about at Robert Verdi’s Luxe Laboratory while I was in New York for Fashion Week was The Fresh Diet.  The Fresh Diet is a gourmet daily diet delivery service.  Nutritionally sound meals with the ultimate in convenience! Read on for more…

I was given the opportunity to try The Fresh Diet Premium Plan for two weeks, but since I live outside the service area, luckily my daughter in Chicago was able to step up and try it out.  Katy said that the setup was easy:  she went to The Fresh Diet website, entered her weight loss goal and was able to select 3 meals, 1 snack and 1 dessert from an extensive number of options. The meals are prepared by a Cordon-Bleu chef, so the quality and variety of the entrees is excellent. In addition, you are also able to indicate if there are ingredients that you don’t care for, so that if you select an entree with one of those ingredients, you get a popup warning. The calorie range she was given was 1200-1400 per day.

The Fresh Diet delivers your food for the day in a well-insulated cooler and in Katy’s case, it was on her front doorstep by 6:00 am every morning.  She would remove her entrees and then return the cooler to the doorstep, where it would be exchanged the following morning.

Each entree is labeled for reference and individually packaged. A recent day included the following menu:  For breakfast, ricotta and apple crepes with strawberries. Lunch was a Philly steak wrap, dinner was chicken breast with whole wheat noodles and carrots.  She opted out of dessert that day, instead choosing two snacks, which were chicken pesto with stuffed mushrooms and pesto crostini. What impressed me is the variety of options and also, the fact that she didn’t have to repeat entrees, therefore she wasn’t bored.

This type of diet plan is perfect for someone with a busy lifestyle or career that might not have the time to devote to menu planning for a weight loss program.  In addition to the convenience and flexibility, the other big benefit that I see is portion control.  So many times we sabotage our weight-loss efforts because of not measuring or “guesstimating”.  In this case, it’s all perfectly figured out for you.

Overall, Katy was really pleased with The Fresh Diet experience, loving the convenience and flexibility of the plan.  You can get more information on The Fresh Diet including pricing and availability in your area, by going to the website www.thefreshdiet.com.

Orzo Salad Lunch, Gourmet Snacks, and Chilean Sea Bass Dinner

My Fresh Diet lunch today was as equally delicious…

orzo sal.jpg

…as breakfast. I had an Orzo Salad with Carrots, Peas, Artichoke Hearts, Parmesan Cheese and Mix Greens. I really loved the combination of flavors in this salad, and I loved the fact that is a very different salad than I would typically make for myself for lunch, so that made it feel extra special! It was also nice and light and refreshing, which made it perfect for this hot day! The Fresh Diet folks outdid themselves again!

After a leisurely afternoon of movies and napping, it was great to have a gourmet dinner already prepared. While I waited for it to heat up (only takes 1-2 minutes in the microwave), I enjoyed my Fresh Diet snack, which was a Chicken Skewer with Tequila Lime Glaze. I felt like I was at a fancy tapas place rather than in my home kitchen as I ate it-how fun!

I had Fillet of Chilean Sea Bass with Citrus Chipotle Sauce with Sun-Dried Tomato Couscous and Haricot Vert. Chilean Sea Bass is my favorite fish, so I was so pleasantly surprised to see it on The Fresh Diet menu. The fish tasted so fresh and went extremely well with the flavorful couscous and Haricot’s Verts. I love it that I’ve eaten 5-star quality meals while relaxing at home all day and not even messing up my kitchen-I feel like I have a personal chef!

And I can’t forget to tell you about my dessert today too! In the 1600-1800 Fresh Diet menu that I selected, there is even room for a gourmet treat. Today, mine was Butterscotch Chip Cookies that after a few seconds in the microwave tasted like the just came out of the oven! When Joe smelled them, he couldn’t resist asking for a bite, and it was hard, but I did share a bite with him-just one though!

After my 2 day experience with The Fresh Diet, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves good, healthy food, but is too busy to fix it. I am only wishing I had a whole week’s worth of Fresh Diet meals on their way!

After a mid-morning spin class, I was really looking forward to trying…

tuna burger.jpg.

..my first Fresh Diet lunch. It was a Tuna Burger on Whole Wheat Bun with Cucumber and Avocado Salsa. It was surprisingly filling and the cool cucumber and avocado salsa made me feel like I was on vacation in California as I ate it!

The Fresh Diet program comes complete with snacks, so when I got a little hungry this afternoon I got to have a gourmet snack of Charred Lamb Loin on Whole Wheat Crostini with Oven Roasted Tomato. Wow! This was not my typical afternoon snack-it was so gourmet. The lamb was cooked perfectly and paired well with the flavor of the oven roasted tomato.

Dinner tonight was a gourmet treat as well. It was Stuffed Chicken Asiago & Tarragon with Whole Wheat Linguine Pasta and Roasted Bell Peppers. I love it because I am testing outThe Fresh Diet premium choice plan, which means I get to choose all my own meals-including picking out my two sides to go with dinner. This was the perfect Italian meal complete with the perfect portion of pasta-this isn’t like being on a diet at all, it’s like getting food from a gourmet restaurant delivered to your door for every meal!

Just as I was getting hungry after dinner tonight, I remembered that I had another Fresh Diet snack for today. It was a Avocado & Cream Cheese Stuffed Baby Tomato. This snack was made just for me-I love all 3 of these things and together they are even better! My first day experiencing The Fresh Diet was definitely a success! I can’t wait to try my meals on Monday!

My Fresh Diet Breakfast: French Toast!

Friday, September 2, 2011 at 8:24 AM   |  posted by Sarah-Jane Bedwell

In Wednesday’s post, I told you that there was a way to participate…

…in Lose 8 even if you don’t have the time to grocery shop or cook. You can use The Fresh Diet’s gourmet, fresh meal delivery service instead! It’s a great program that’s been used by many celebrities such as Paula Abdul, Maria Menounos, and Hayden Panitierre, just to name a few.

The Fresh Diet lets you choose your ideal calorie range to meet your needs whether you want to Lose weight or just maintain a healthy lifestyle with your busy schedule. Meals are prepared fresh everyday and then delivered to your doorstep each night. The Fresh Diet recipes are based on a 40% carbohydrate/30% protein/30% fat ratio, so they are healthy and balanced and fit in well with the Lose 8 plan guidelines.

All recipes are tasty too because they are created by Chief Culinary Officer, Yos Schwartz who is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute. Meals are diabetic friendly and can be tailored for gluten-free clients. I am so excited though, because I get to experience all this for myself! The Fresh Diet folks are letting me sample two days worth of meals (I choose the 1600-1800 calorie range). So stay tuned today and Monday to hear all about my experience!

french toast.jpg

I’m starting my Fresh Diet experience with Cinnamon Swirl Multi-Grain French Toast with Fresh Apples and Blackberry Ricotta Cheese for breakfast! I sure don’t have time to make French Toast most mornings, but this tasted like I had made it from scratch, and I absolutely loved the blackberry ricotta cheese-it gave this breakfast such a feeling of elegance and good taste (literally)!

PTPA Blog: The Fresh Diet is ‘Too Good To Be Diet!’

Soulla Lindo blogs about The Fresh Diet

When she tried The Fresh Diet, Soulla Lindo felt like she had “dieted and gone to heaven.” The Fresh Diet recently received top honors from PTPA Media, and Lindo was one of volunteer testers who had the opportunity to try our meal delivery service. After reading her review, I think it is safe to say that it was love at first bite.

“I can honestly say that I felt like a celebrity with a personal chef who made me tasty, healthy meals daily. Hey, celebrities shouldn’t get to have all the fun right?” Click here to read the rest of Lindo’s review.

Scary Mommy Blogs About The Fresh Diet!

Does this woman look scary to you? Didn’t think so!

Move over Scary Movie, Scary Spice, and even Scary, West Virginia… there’s a new “scary” celebrity in town! This one is taking the blogosphere by storm by providing, “An honest take on motherhood; the good, the bad and… the scary!” She’s also going to be reviewing The Fresh Diet for the next month. Be sure to tune into the blog and read about Scary Mommy’s journey to a healthier lifestyle.

Incidentally, what’s so “scary” about Scary Mommy? Her website does have some splashes of artwork in the style of Ralph Steadman, but other than that, I couldn’t find anything. Now, Joan Crawford was one scary mommy. (Did you ever see Mommie Dearest?) The author in question seems like a caring parent with a highly entertaining blog. Evidently, Jill’s son named her Scary Mommy during a phase when he was afraid of everything, including grilled cheese sandwiches. Oh, well. The name does have a nice ring to it!

Eating unhealthy processed food can be really scary. Click here to have our fresh, gourmet meals delivered to your door.

Fresh Diet Reviews: TFD and Belly Laughs?!

TFD’s friend Carol gets some help in the yard from her favorite gardener.

If you haven’t been following our friend Carol’s blog, you have really been missing out! Carol is a loyal FD customer and a regular participant on The Fresh Diet’s Facebook page. She also happens to be a nurse with an extremely positive outlook on life.

Carol is blogging about her experiences with The Fresh Diet and so much more. In her latest post, she reminds us of the many health benefits of laughter. My mother always says that laughter is the best medicine. I guess she has been right all of these years. Mothers always know!

The first time I saw one of the Monty Python movies, I laughed so hard that tears actually started streaming down my face. By the time the movie was over, my body felt like it had been through a good workout. It turns out that there was a reason for that.

Laughter activates the immune system, reduces stress, relaxes the muscles, and gives you an internal workout. Stopping to smell the roses is great, but it is important to have a good, old-fashioned belly laugh, too. Read Carol’s latest blog post to find out how The Fresh Diet can nourish your body, and a good belly laugh can help cure what ails you.

Carol is writing her own success story with The Fresh Diet, and you can, too. Click here to have our fresh, gourmet food delivered right to your door.
