Here’s mine: Many years ago my mother brought home a bottle of this liquid protein “stuff”. The bottle looked to me like a shampoo bottle and the “stuff” looked to me like shampoo. Tasted awful too! Anyway you were supposed to drink this stuff a few times and you will lose weight. I lasted one day. Really rediculous and silly way to lose weight!

We all know that diet and exercise go together. However the path to diet and exercise is sometimes the road less traveled. Why? Many people believe that maintaining a healthy body is the result of something called “willpower”.
But what is willpower? According to the dictionary, willpower is defined as, “control of one’s impulses and actions; self-control.”
OK, makes sense right. So how do you access willpower? You can’t see it, and there’s no on/off switch? How come some people just have it and some don’t?
Last month we did a photo shoot in our LA Kitchen that produced beautiful photos of all our meals (you can find some of these on our Facebook page). Many times when shooting food, a “food stylist” will come in and ensure that the food looks right.
Think about this. When you see food on TV or in print, does the actual food look like what you actually get? Right… hardly ever!
There are lots of ways that are “unnatural” to make food look great – sometimes even edible. And sometimes when you see a food picture, it’s not food at all (it could be things like plastic cheese!)
Below is an example video of how a food stylist makes food look right for a photo shoot. Watch that, then watch the second video of our Fresh Diet photo shoot. You’ll notice that we actually take a regular meal right out of it’s food container, put it on the plate and take the shot. Nothing “unnatural” is done (as you will clearly see).
