We’ve been singing this around the office for a few weeks now.  (and we may actually record it)

(To the tune of “My Favorite Things” from “The Sound of Music”)

Grain topped with roast london broil is delicious,

Light cod with fennel is fresh and nutritious,

Brown rice and sausages have such appeal,

These are a few of my favorite meals.

Cream colored sauces and crisp apple slices

Mint bar with chocolate is one of my vices,

Wild mushroom sauce served on slices of veal,

These are a few of my favorite meals.

Breakfast burritos and lamb on crostini,

Goat cheese or bleu cheese or tasty linguini,

Food that’s presented with flare and with zeal,

These are a few of my favorite meals.

When I’m craving, when I’m tempted,

When I’m feeling sad,

I simply remember my favorite meals,

And then I don’t feel — so bad!

Salmon and spinach and roast pork medallions,

Side dishes garnished with field greens or scallions,

Cookies to die for, desserts so unreal,

These are a few of my favorite meals.

Creamy quinoa and crunchy rapini,

Omelets and salads and four cheese panini,

Snacks that have satisfied hunger I feel.

These are a few of my favorite meals.

Fresh ahi tuna or pineapple cheesecakes,

Quiches and fishes and vegetable egg bakes,

Taste and convenience are part of the deal,

These are a few of my favorite meals.

When I’ve stumbled, when I’ve cheated,

When I’m feeling sad,

I simply remember my favorite meals,

And then I don’t feel — so bad!
